Subject: Are old old Satellite dish and antenna towers worth anything?
Question: I purchased a couple properties that formerly were owned by Adelphia Communications. There are 7 10 to 14 ft dish antennas and a couple 40 ft antenna towers. Where can I sell them. I'm willing to share proceeds money if someone is willing to help.

the dish antennas -- maybe. The towers, yes. Good old Adelphia... did the brothers ever get federal jail time? What I would do; used towers, especially short towers, are not worth a lot of cash, especially if you have to pay someone to take them down. It is common for the towers to be GIVEN away if they are disassembled by the person or group that wants them. I would suggest that you locate a local ham radio group, many clubs are always looking for towers. The dish antennas can also be used by hams for point to point or space communications. To locate a ham radio group, go to www.arrl.org, click on clubs. Find one in your area. Also, locate one of the regional directors or section managers, they know all the clubs that would be interested in the towers. Hams provide a great deal of disaster service, you would be giving to the community. If the ARRL is not helpful - and I am sure they would be! - the Red Cross has a ham radio group that is attached, same with the Salvation Army, but the ARC is more technical.

Put them up on craigslist. Some hobbyists will want them.
TRY EBAY YOU CAN SELL ANYTHING THERE JUST TAKE A COUPLE OF PICS OF EACH AND POST THEN INDIVIDUALLY PEOPLE THAT MAKE THERE OWN BACKYARD RADIO TELESCOPES ARE ALWAYS LOOKING FOR STUFF LIKE THAT. YOU DON'T HAVE TO SHARE THE $$$$$ WITH ME IM COOL
